Monsoon Coast began its journey with a line of Indian spice mixtures and an idea to make seemingly exotic food accessible for the home cook. Over the years we have added a number of spice blends inspired by cuisines from around the world. We now offer 20 different mixtures and six different gift boxes. Each mixture comes with a recipe card, and our web site (www.monsooncoast.com) offers additional recipes to inspire our customers.
We hand-blend our spice mixtures in small batches in our spice room at Unit #9 inMerchants’ Mews on beautiful Salt Spring Island. We have been a vendor in the popular Salt Spring Saturday Market for over 15 years and have a loyal following of customers on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and across North America. We don’t have set hours, but if we are in the spice room we are happy to have customers drop by. A number of stores on Salt Spring sell our products and gift boxes. Please visit our website for the complete list.
